How to email authenticate within CPanel

HowTo enable email authentication

You must be using the latest cPanel to enable these features. The latest theme for cPanel will have an x3 in the URL

Login to your cPanel and in the Mail section, you will find an icon titled “Email Authentication”, click it.

The first section is “DomainKeys”, simply click the button to enable it. DomainKeys are used by some providers to try to monitor spam levels coming from certain domains, this will improve your chances of getting mail into Yahoo, but that is still a long shot. If you are running a CashCrusader script, set force return path to ON will also improve your chances of getting mail into Yahoo, but again, it is still a long shot with their dismally poor service.

The next section is “SPF”

Many of you will find this already enabled with various settings in it, which may have been done upon account creation, if this is the case, you are free to ignore this section if it is already enabled, if not, simply click update and the default settings will be enough to make MSN/Hotmail happy, who seem to be the only provider out there re-inventing the wheel with this totally lacking authentication method.
