Network Tools allow you to find out information about any domain, or to trace the route from the server your site is hosted on to the computer you are accessing your cPanel from. Finding out information about a domain can be very useful in making sure your DNS is set up correctly as you will find out information about your IP addres as well as your DNS.

To access Network Tools from your cPanel main menu just click on the icon above the words Network Tools. From there you can find out the IP address of any domain, as well as DNS information about that domain. This can be a very useful too right after your site is set up or after DNS changes have been made. This tool can help you make sure your DNS is properly setup.
All you need to do is enter the name of the domain you wish to look up in the blank field next to Enter a domain to lookup. Then click on Lookup to find out the domain’s information.
Trace Route allows you to trace the route from the computer you’ve accessed cPanel from to the server your site is on. Access this under the Network Tools icon, click on Trace Route to trace the route from your computer to the server.
