Google’s Android is not quite ready for the tablet platform

Google is saying that the current version of it’s mobile OS Android, is not yet ready for the tablet pc platform.  They have said that the current build Froyo is not a platform for iPad rivals, though they are hinting that they will have a tablet oriented OS soon.

Currently it seems that it’s more of an issue with the Android Market and, the apps that are designed for the current build, as opposed to platforms willing to feature the OS.  The Android Market is not going to be available on devices that will not allow for the applications to run correctly.  Which means that the current build Froyo would not work on the tablet PC platform. It seems that Google is looking for the wow factor with it’s tablet platform, so it’s possible that there will be a whole new generation of Android devices to take on the iPad.
