It seems everyone wants a piece of the tablet market! RIM (Research In Motion) has plans to reveal their competitor to the tablet arena by the end of the year.
They are not expected to use their newest OS, BlackBerry 6 OS, but instead it’s thought that they will most likely use a new OS developed by the recently acquired QNX. The BlackBerry OS in general has had some difficulty keeping up with Android and Apple.
The new tablet has been dubbed the BlackPad internally. It is said to have a 7 inch touch screen, 1 or 2 cameras, and is bluetooth and wifi capable, but needs to be tethered to a blackberry for cellular access.
